Fun At The Farm
In April 2009 we formed the Lakes Equestrian Social Club. It is run by clients, who all have an interest in fundraising, having fun and getting together. In the past few years we have raised £700 by organising yard competitions (show-jumping and dressage). These have been very well attended and have provided classes for everyone to “have a go”. Instructors and experienced people are always present.
The money has been invested back into having some brand new jumping equipment for all to use. Due to the money involved we thought it a good idea to form an official “club”, and to organise more shows and therefore raise more funds.
As well as competitions, a few more yard socials have been planned and we hope to have a few more get-togethers with everybody e.g Curry nights at the local Indian, BBQ’s and Pimms evenings at the farm, and the odd dinner dance to support Young Farmers or the local Cricket Club.
